Beefing Up Security - Why appScatter Acquired Abilott

Simon Gannon

With cyber-attacks and data breaches increasing in both frequency and intensity, here at appScatter, demand for our Threat Analysis services has never been greater.

To address the proliferation of security threats and better help our clients combat app vulnerabilities, appScatter recently acquired the digital security solutions provider, Abilott.

Having been a part of our security solution for many years through a successful partnership, appScatter has experienced Abilott’s cutting-edge capabilities first hand and is delighted to now come together as one team.

Established in 2007, Abilott works with both established organisations and emerging clients, providing security services for data and IT infrastructure with technologies such as Distributed Denial of Service, Penetration testing and Zero Day Vulnerability reporting. Abilott also provides consultancy services, helping businesses reach compliance in a number of areas such as GDPR, ISO27001, PCI-DSS or regulations from the UK Gaming Commission.

This acquisition enables us to bring our security services that we previously outsourced in-house, significantly improving our margin. In addition to continuing support for Abilott’s existing product line, we will continue investing in new security solutions to further enhance the services we can provide to our existing customers and the great variety of gaming clients Abilott bring with them to appScatter.

Additionally, the acquisition also marks an important step towards our strategic vision of integrating distribution, data intelligence, and security solutions under one roof to make appScatter the most comprehensive app management platform on the market.

Over the coming weeks, we look forward to welcoming Abilott CEO, Ian Beauchamp, along with his team to our London office and to our growing, global appScatter family. Be sure to check back as we announce further updates in the coming months!
